“Re-mix Japan” focuses on “Hida-Shunkei” lacquerware that is revered around the world. It promotes a lifestyle with sophisticated Japanese beauty by collaborating with traditional handcrafts from Gifu prefecture and Hida-Takayama, including Hida's furniture, woodcraft, Mino Japanese paper-made lighting equipment, Mino ceramic ware and Gifu textiles.
Re-mix Japan is the proposed brand of a new lifestyle aimed at a traditional Japanese sense of beauty by fusing the traditional and modern times with traditional Gifu products. Being particular about the design and quality that emphasize Japanese beauty or Japaneseness, and using organic materials like wood, paper, natural lacquer, silk and clay, we produce a line of products that transcend each traditional industry's boundaries. We also use traditional techniques to focus on eco-friendly and health-conscious manufacturing.

A characteristic of Hida-Shunkei is that the lacquer becomes gradually transparent, and the wooden pattern elegantly stands out as time goes by. Its gentle texture and elegance are much appreciated and as you use it, the gloss increases and hardens. It also is designated as a traditional craftwork of Japan.
